• HIV Testing

  Rapid OraQuick Test (mouth swab), results in 20 minutes, on site & through mobile unit at various outreach sites throughout Sacramento & Yolo Counties

• HCV Testing

  Hepatitis C Finger Stick test, results in 2 weeks, on site & through mobile unit at various outreach sites throughout Sacramento & Yolo Counties

• SafePoints Syringe Exchange

  Exchanging used syringes for new, sterile syringes for injection drug users and for people who have IDU's in their life. Promoting disease reduction among IDU's. The act of exchange also promotes disease reduction among the community as a whole (i.e.: emergency personnel, waste management, parks & rec., etc.) by keeping used syringes out of garbage, sewers, parks, gutters, etc. When people come in to exchange syringes we are also able to connect them to other services such as detox, health care, medical care, HIV/HCV testing and more. We also have a Satellite Exchange program where people who are connected to a large group of IDU's can pick up exchange supplies in bulk from HRS and record their distribution to report back to HRS.

• Joan Viteri Memorial Clinic (JVMC)

  Free clinic most Saturdays @HRS provided by UC Davis Med Students & Overseen by a Medical Doctor (Sign up @ 11:00am - limited to first 10 people) Call first to be sure the clinic will be open. Some of the services provided:

  • Basic Medical Care
  • STD Testing
  • HIV/HCV Testing
  • Abscess treatment
  • Free Hep A/B Vaccinations
  • Physicals

  Free, confidential, private, professional, respectful, culturally sensitive

• Ryan White Case Management

  Assisting people with HIV/AIDS access services regarding medical, social, mental health, drug/alcohol services, housing, and more.

• Outreach

  Mobile RV at various locations throughout Sacramento & Yolo Counties

  • Providing syringe exchange & HIV/HCV Testing
  • Meeting people where they are to increase harm reduction in hard to reach communities (Check our Hours or Call (916) 24-SAFE-5 for locations & times)
  • Condom & Lube Distribution - Giving out risk reduction kits for safer sex to anyone who asks! (Assorted colors & flavors!)
